How to Get the Most Out of Kajabi

Answer: Think strategically, not piecemeal.

You can think of Kajabi as an email program, a landing page program, or a membership site or you can be strategic and get the most out of your Kajabi experience by thinking of it like cogs in a machine.

You get the most bang for your Kajabi buck when you leverage all the aspects it has to offer by thinking about your customer journey, first and foremost. Remember, sell the destination, not the airplane.

Think about the way people decide to make a purchase. Do they google what they’re looking for and immediately click “buy” on the first result? Chances are, no, they do not.

People are looking to make a purchase, but a confused mind never buys. Most people who are unsure of where to go and what to buy, do some research first. They poke around websites and read reviews. They look to see if you can help them, if they can trust you, and if they like you.  This is what the customer journey is all about.

Obviously, you want your customer’s journey to end with a purchase, but what happens if they need to get to know you a bit better before they throw down their sixteen digits?

Take a step back and think strategically through your funnel—aka your customer journey. Are you showing them how you can help them? Do they see that you are an expert who can solve their problem? Do you lead them to the right product(s) or “upsell” them to the next step in the services hierarchy? Or are you simply plopping your potential customers on a landing page and hoping they click “buy?”

If you just turned red and discovered that you are leaving your customers rather than leading them where you want them to go, you are not alone! Most entrepreneurs fall into that same trap but Kajabi, and more specifically Kajabi pipelines, makes this trap easier to avoid.  

With Kajabi pipelines you can send your customers on the journey that is right for them. You can teach them something about your business and the products or services you offer, showing them you are the absolute best fit for them.

When constructing your customer experience with Kajabi, think about the journey your customer goes on once they leave your website. Don’t stop at the landing page; for the vast majority of customers, the landing page is just the beginning of their journey!

Don’t rush the process and remember while building trust and authority, the customer journey can take time. In fact, it can take several weeks for a customer to commit to making a purchase of several thousand dollars. That’s right, weeks, not days. During the time between initial contact and purchase, you want to do everything in your power to remain top of mind for when they are ready to finally seal the deal.

So, how do you do that?

Again, Kajabi makes it easy! One way is to have an email nurture sequence designed to delight, educate, and build trust with people. Over time, this will help establish you as an expert in your field, showing your customers that they can trust you to solve their problem. This helps your customers keep you in the forefront of their minds for when they are ready to move forward.
